Picture Quotes to Live By For this Year

A day after my 23rd birthday. Being the self-proclaimed romanticist that I am, I tend to look back at the last 12 months of my life with nostalgia and look forward to another new year with excitement.

I've had my fair share of ups and downs, unforgettable excursions with friends and amazing lessons learned. But I know I haven't given it all yet. There's still more to life and I want to live mine through these fascinating ways.

Here are some picture quotes that I must learn to live by for this year - all for the name of greatness:

1. Depth is wealth.

Perfect! This should be my new mantra for this year. I've spent many times in my life fearing the unknown and getting cozy in my comfort zone that I fail to live my life to the fullest. So at 23, I shall be a mermaid! Doesn't matter if it's Ariel or Melody or Marina or Aryana, basta mermaid, yun na!

2. Be a Globetrotter.

Hear, Hear! I will, I will! I have a list of places to go to in my notebook "before I get married", "before I turn 30", "before I die", etc. It's crazy, but all great things started as a dream, didn't they? :D

3. Say NO to anything mainstream.

This reminds me of Robert Frost's “The Road Not Taken”, a poem I held close to my heart but never had the courage to apply in my life. These lines resonate in my ear:  "Two roads diverged in a wood, and I, I took the one less traveled by, And that has made all the difference." Hope I find the strength to live up to this, :)

4. Be a free soul.

I will lament the fact that I've spent my 22 not doing this. But it's not yet too late for this, right?  Sleep on floors, eat, cook, etc..There's still more in my bucket list. Climb Machu Picchu. Spend one summer in Swiss Alps. Scuba dive in the Great Barrier Reef. Bla, bla, bla..And for this, I'll apply the law of attraction! Horayt!

5. Embrace Danger.

I couldn't agree more! So bring on all the buwis-bahay activities in town and imma try my best to do them...one at a time! waaaaaaahhh!

Life is too short to be ordinary. I just turned 23 but I still feel trapped in an 18 year-old mind and body. Whatever my age, what matters most is how I choose to spend my youth in a way that best expresses my heart. And the quotes I've shared above speak exactly what kind of life I wanna live and have. :)
