Sarangani Excursion: The Ultimate Trip for Water Maniacs

I've been wanting to go to Sarangani since time immemorial but no close friends ever had the patience (cause that's what it takes to organize an out of town trip) to organize an excursion there. 8 months after our Mati Marathon, the same set of friends finally decided to take a trip to Sarangani – and WOOHOO! - another adventure began!

And off we went. We embarked on a 4-5 hour journey to Sarangani, zigged here and zagged there as the road led us to South of Mindanao.

We headed to the West Coast of Sarangani, where all our water adventures were waiting for us.

First stopover: Nallus Falls.
It was drizzling, but we're all gonna get wet anyway. We hiked a little from where our van was parked and whoop!, a mini waterfalls that shows itself from large rocks greeted us! What better way to start the whole laag thing but to take a dip and refresh ourselves with cold waters!

With big rocks and chilling waters :)

Second Stopover: Jan Water Park
Next, we dipped yet again at Jan Water Park, where the pool's water comes from the spring. Day 1 of our excursion was a bonding with Sarangani's fresh water!

Apparently, not all of us are skilled swimmers so we just stayed at the corner. :))

Overnight at Ablog Resort
Then we went to Woodbridge also known as Ablog Resort, where we spent the night. The room costs only P1500. It was very affordable and comfortable, with 6 double-deck beds, an aircon and a cable TV.

Good Morning Sunday, and this was the day everybody's been waiting for!

Breakfast at Cresing's
We had our breakfast buffet at Cresing's, a 20 minute van ride from where we stayed overnight. Cresing's serves all organic and natural foods, from rice to viands to juice and coffee – for only P150/head. I know the price sounds a little shocking especially for a breakfast fee, but the foods are guaranteed to be delicious and HEALTHY! They also sell rice and corn coffee, so if you want to let your family/friends know how Cresing's natural food products taste, better don't miss the chance to buy their products!

Sarangani's Pride: Cresing's Organic Food Products

Alright, we're now full, so what's next? Chereeeenn! The highlight of our Sarangani excursion: the White Water Tubing!

Located at New La Union, Maitum, Sarangani, White Water Tubing is a water adventure you don't want to miss when you reach the province. At P150, you can have an extreme experience worth bragging to your friends! Hahahaha!

Did we have fun? Boy, let the pictures speak for themselves. :D

Our last stop, which we spent the remaining time, was the best way to conclude the 2-day hydromania escapade. BEACH, of course! From waterfalls to cold spring to river, and yes, to where the form of water ends: SEA! Sarangani has it all to offer!

At Tuka Bay Marine Sanctuary Beach

Last Stop: Tuka Bay Marine Sanctuary Beach
From the heart of Kiamba, we took a 10 minute boat ride to Tuka Bay Marine Sanctuary Beach. Unlike any normal Sundays, the beach was not full of people. I think only 3 or 4 groups of people were there at the resort, which makes a whole barkada bonding perfect and exciting!

Group pictures!!!!!!

And oh, that huge orange house at the back is Congressman Manny Pacquiao's. It wasn't available for visitors or whatever, so we just posed in front amidst the burning sun and pretended that we share a relative closeness with the Pacquiao's. :D

At around 4pm, we decided to sail back (even if we wanted so badly to have stayed longer) and that's when reality set in: we have to endure another 4-5 hour trip back to Davao. I think if Davao was just an island across away, we would have gone home at six in the morning the following day. That's how water maniacs we are.

But before we formally left the warm city of Kiamba, we took obligatory group pictures in front of the municipal hall, and at its iconic water-spitting dragon that looked like Charizard in Pokemon to me.

Behind us is the famous Charizard from Pokemon. Kidding! :)

How many times did we jump just to perfect this?  HAHAHA!

And of course, the crazy jump shots, which we tried so hard to perfect. :)))

Till we meet again, Sarangani!
